Rail caps

This topic was posted before. Checked mine before the beginning of the season and sure enough they were loose. The dealer put in new rivets and they were tight before the first ride. Just got back from a trip, 800 miles, and they are loose again. My dealer says no problem if they are loose. Sure would hate to loose one riding and not know it. Is this a problem and is there a better way to secure them.

Drill out rivet and replace with good bolt with nyloc nut.

I filled mine with silicon caulk before I bolted them on. Has held for 2600 miles.

My dealer said brand new 07's on the floor have loose end caps.. I put new rivets in mine and they are still loose. Just keep an eye on them.
