I'm in the middle of installing the Hartman 136 kit on my Apex, and I just noticed that the rail extensions that came with the kit do not allow full length hyfax. So now I'm faced with running standard length or opting to get different rail extensions. Is there any advantage/disadvantage to running standard length vs. full length hyfax. I am prone to say I should be running full length.
It's kind of personal prefferance.Hartman make's full raill extensions the allow use of slides. You have st specify when ordering.

I got tracks usa, and theirs was full length, but was short by an inch and a half on the 136". did not matter though. I've heard others say that it does not matter on the type you have either. so run it I guess?
I dont think it matters much. I have full length on mine, but also added an extra wheel kit just infront of the existing rear wheel location. You could always add another wheel kit and it would actually be better IMO.

Sounds like you may have got Tracks USA 128 extensions?

rice, I meant the hyfax was 1 and a half inchs short of the extension rail. With the added extensions it made my shorty a 136 long track. Honk

I have my 700SX extended to 136" and use 121" hyfax and I see no reason for longer ones. As a side note, my hyfax wear is by far the most right under the rubber bumpstop. I was thinking of adding a set of wheels there as it is wearing twice as much at that point. I am running a 2" track, VERY loose, with extrovert drivers.

Hartman makes hyfax extensions seperately for his rail extensions. The tracksUSA kits are standard to accept full length hyfax. I went with the tracksUSA kits.
