has anyone heard of this, i read of this in a snowmobile flyer up north but left it in house up there not sure where to get info, i guess you load your seld in sault saint marie canada and it takes you 300 miles by train straight north into gods country. need some info maybe make a trip out of it this coming year. :yam:

It's called the snow train. A few of us looked into it about 6 yrs. ago. 9 hours on the train seemed a little excessive. Beautiful scenery though. We ended up driving to Wawa and doing day loops from there. This allowed us an extra 2 days riding, as well as having our tools and spares close to where we were riding. Contact Skidooboy. He reps for the Wawa snowmobile club at shows. He has lots of info and tips ;)!

ive seen that train last year,we were in hearst last winter on our trip ,the train goes by not to far behind the motel, they drop off the sleds and ride local trails for the day and after that, they head off to where ever they plan to,its neat to see all those sleds come off the train, there was like 40 of them that time

thanks guys for the help was not aware it was 9 hrs. long but still interested and i will get a hold of skidooboy for details.

I looked into this a few years ago, but decided that we could ride instead. We rode fro the Soo up to Hearst and made a loop to Timmins and back to the Soo. It was a great time. If you do make it to Hearst, I reccommend the Companion hotel. Great food and service.

isent that the hotel with the "female entertainers". not that i have ever been there of course, but the trail goes right through the parking lot and its a pretty nice place inside. i mean i heard its nice inside.

No female entertainment that I knew about, but just down the street there is. Pretty females at that. They also have a heated garage area for you to park your sleds over night.

Yeah we stayed at that motel by the tracks , turned on the TV and it was all dirty movies , and the train horns blew all night not my idea of luxury but i did get my poutine and fries with gravy for breakfast AND BEST OF ALL I NEVER GOT STABBED.
