Ramp jumping with a nytro rtx/tank. A little review

I thought from your description I that it would look worse, you looked pretty good IMO.

Do just a little revalve of that rear skid and you'll be very surprised in what the Nytro will handle. Stock valving gives you that huge kick back when you hit the face or get deep into the stroke. They have three weenie shims on the piston. I got carried away with my last revalve and could probably flat land that ramp and not feel it.
I have Ohlins with 160 lbs up front, its a beast.

nice work, great video.

Looks to me like the rear shocks dont have enough rebound dampening. and what you are getting is the rear shocks extending too fast.. Like all yamahas

Yeah, I don't think im willing to spend the time or money revalving the suspension...its really just one piece of the problem as far as jumping goes.

Oh and trust me land flat any you definatly will feel it, my buddy has broken 3 shock shafts (on rev 440) just landing normally off our ramp at 65 ft. I compressed my back a month ago landing 3/4 of the way down our landing on the 440, with the nytro you would have a broken back for sure. Heres a shot that shows our normal ramp setup...little more serious then that small setup.
