i have a rattling noise coming from my inner tunnel and cannot seem to locate it

Any idea's? its not the clutch before someone mentions that lol

lift the rear of the sled and shine a light around the pipes where they come through the tunnel bulkhead. With the sled running you normally can see the clamps around the donuts rotating on the pipe.

I did a write up in the RS section on replacing donuts. The seat removal is a little different on a Nytro but the procedure is about the same.

Hey guys is it possible the donuts could be shot at 1200 miles?

I cant check your sled for you, read the above post from Grizztracks and check for yourself. Sorry but 500 miles or 5000 miles its all on the way the sled has been ridden and maintained, or just plain luck of the draw.

What makes you think they are out?

If the exhaust donuts are bad won't the sled occassionally backfire?

Would the exhaust not be blowing if they were shot?

No, there is enough pipe closing the opening to force most of it out the muffler. If you block both muffler outlets (with appropriate rags/towels/old jeans) and the sled stays running, you need donuts.

Funny you mentioned that, I thought I heard a backfire last night, start er up today and it's rattling like a box of wrenches under the tunnel.

Time to Change the donuts, err or make them....

Oh my just looked at the procedure to change them, I don't have the time to do that :).

If I have to take out the gas tank I might as well put a trail tank in.
