Rear mount intake for deep powder

Thanks for the help. There arent any hose clamps on the tees. Will the air leaks affect the jetting? I dont want to put the 120s in then fix the air leaks and its running lean. I called Terry at bender when I was jetting it and he said to jet it like stock for this altitude. 120 is pretty close. I have the needles in #1 with the plastic deal under. It sounds like it maybe alittle lean in the midrange. I dont have a pyro or a/f meter. Do you run a Pyro in every head pipe or just 1 or 2?
I cant find the picture of the turbo divider deal for the snow/steam ingestion problem.

Air leaks have a TREMENDOUS effect on jetting.

You likely won't be able to get hose clamps on the little tees that hook to the carbs themselves. For those use TONS of super glue and the a wire tie or some small gauge wire to give it that extra hold.

Put hose clamps on ALL other connections EVERY where.

I use an air/fuel gauge and prefer that over a pyro.

How would I go about putting a a/f guage in? Running av gas with the high lead would really shorten the life span of the O2 sensor wouldnt it?

As I remember you have an early tubo kit so there is no bung for the O2 sensor. It is easy enough to add one though. Put it in the exhaust pipe just before the turbo. You will see it in the pc below on the side of the exhaust pipe. It has the pulg in it in the pic.

Spray that oil tank on the back brings back memories. I can smell the oil frying!

LMAO I don't miss that!!

I built a plate out of aluminum that goes under the turbo to cover the big hole, made a cardboard template for the divider shield and will cut the aluminum out tomorrow. Making another piece to go in the gap where the charge tube and exhaust pipes go into the tunnel. I didnt get to any of the hoses but its on the list which grows every time I look at the sled.

I had the same problem. I ended up getting an exhaust tip from Advace Auto and put in on my intake side and it extended to the plasic exhaust cover. I cut a hole in the heat shield and seal it completly off. I also sealed the bottom off. I used SLP prefilter material and put over the end of the exhaust tip. Cut a hole in the plastic exhaust cover and used the SLP material again with wire mesh. Anywhere snow could get in I sealed it with that material and I have had zero problems since I did this.

I like the idea of drawing cold air from the back of the sled! Very good idea MR moose! ;)!

You guys probably think Im nuts but I leave my filter wide open hanging out the back with just the flow rite skin on it. I have yet to feel it bog and I have taken it in major fluff. My Escape would puke and choke but this thing is unstoppable.

Sometimes if I don't cover my vents in the pow ,something under my hood would not like fluf on it. So know I cover my vents with prefilter material and hasn't mist a beat since in the pow!

Freak, What did you use from the compressor to the filter?

Not sure I understand your question. I have a kickass type filter on my turbo with a flow rite skin over it. thats it, no bog.

It sounded as though the filter was outside the sled. Maybe behind the seat on the tunnel extension.
