Rear of sled severe sag...... Pls help

I hope this helps they may have set up the 2020 LTX sled with the same lower rate coil springs For a ride height if you read the above article

there is just to many people and until the year ends and Yamaha puts out bulitings on how many people complained and brought there sled s back to the shop for repairs we will find out I think you are the most knowledgeable person on this site and it seams by looking threw your post you have a lot of experience and input on suspensions nice job hats of to you thanks for your post because I’ ride faithfully every year end I am still learning about suspensions so thanks for input
Thanks. I wish I had a new sled to do comparisons to. I did run across my picture of the srx torsion springs compared to the earlier springs. The angle of short end is easily identifiable.

Well I started looking at the rear suspension on my 2020 Winder LTX SE it's got 500 miles on it and looks like the rear shock and spring's are cooked. I bought it used so who knows how it was ridden or maintained. I think I'm going to get both skid shocks rebuild and revalved along with new springs and see what happens. As of right now I can push the rear down until it hits the coupler blocks and pretty much stays there right on the blocks and that is not how it is supposed to work. I did notice that the previous owner had the front and rear suspension adjusted the total opposite of the way I would have done it.

Send them over. I will fix them up.

I doubt the gas pressure has leaked out this quickly. A revalve won’t do anything for sag. The front track coil over is way way to soft for my setup. If you have studs and want to loosen up the rear end some you need a much heavier spring. I’m 170 lbs and the front track spring was to light for me with studs. Get a stiffer spring that doesn’t rub the reservoir, you’ll be happy. With studs you need lower rear spring and higher center spring, the sled will “pivot” and the cornering will be greatly improved.
Canondale knows where to get springs that won’t rub, I can’t remember who’s spring I have now but it’s much heavier than stock and I love the handling with studs, slightly loose in the rear end.

I hear ya Clutch Master you wouldn't think the gas pressure all leaked out but it seems to me that's what happened. I'm pulling skid this weekend so I'll know more then. All I know is this rear skid is along ways off the one I have in my Viper. It looks like there is a Stingrays front track shock spring in there and it is cranked way up all the way to the end of the threads on shock

In Rhinelander, I'll see what happens I have to do some trail work on Saturday for the snowmobile club so I probably won't get it out until Sunday afternoon, either way I can just ship them not a big deal.

Cannondale do you know if Cat and Yamaha share valving in there shocks such as T Cat and Winder or do they each do there own thing.

If the nitrogen charge has no effect on sled sag , for sure both springs must be broken ... just get him to order springs ...

Thanks for getting back to me cannondale27 , I'm having the same issue with my 2020 gt as dlwarrior's wifes sled . Push down on bumper goes to block and will not rebound sled doesnt have any miles on it . My 16 viper works all th way though the block and transfers rebounds back up . I check my brothers 2020 ltx viper today and his works like my 16 viper
