Got back from a ride today, the sled was working better than ever, very happy with the handeling. But as I was looking it over after the ride I noticed that the two supports on both the sides of the the skids rear shock were broken and the resulting failure caused the shock to impact something in the skid which seems to have caused it to loose its oil. (broken or kinked line between shock and resivour). Anyone out there had a similar problem, what caused this ?

What holes were your limiter straps set in?

Looks like (at least) one of your linkage rods are broken. Without these rods, the shock can bottom out before the rest of the skid, for sure causing some damage. Bent or broken linkage rods usually happens because something else, like a big chunk of ice, hits them.

Well,
I had been running the limiter straps in the full loose position and they were so loose that they were starting to become damaged on one end, so I thought I would just remove them, did this cause my problem ?

I would say that it happened when you removed your limiter straps. I talked to Hygear about removing them and they said "Don't because the rear suspension will overcam."

The limiter straps getting torn is likely not because you are running them too lose. This happens anyway because the track is touching, on XTX as well as RTX SE. A good advice is to check them and possibly change them when you repair the rest of the skid.
