Hi, I had bought a Elka Stage 5 from a suspension shop, used but rebuilt, intended for a 129".
I have a 129" as well.
When I went to install it I noticed it was ~10mm longer than my stock shock (14.5" eye to eye) .... I asked the shop and they said it came from a 129" so I installed it. Rode 1200km and took it out, noticed it got damaged while riding. Not catastrophic obviously but still.
I'm thinking, would this be the length for a 137"? Is this why I had an issue? I'm going to be selling and I want to be triple sure I list it correctly.
Thanks!

My Stage 5 Elka came with the parts to make it for a 129 or 137. I have the bag of parts for a 129. Let me know what you need or if you need me to measure something. There is a difference

I'm curious what that difference is? Meaning, what are the parts and what could it do?

My Stage 5 Elkas came with parts for longer shock and shorter shock. I used the 137 parts, but as you can see it will go 144 and 129. Obviously one part is the shock body the other is the shaft. Not sure what the needle is for. If you need them make me an offer, I dont need them.

The needle goes inside the shaft its what adjusts the rebound by contacting the knob.My Stage 5 Elkas came with parts for longer shock and shorter shock. Sucks but lesson learned when you buy something used or second hand. always check with the manufacturer for your application before buying it if you're not sure.
