I’m running the precision efi multi stage tune. I am told I need to upgrade my fuel pump charge tubes and bov, what do y’all recommend?

Fuel pumps and injectors are maxed out at about -10 F at 280HP level.
Higher volume fuel pump a good idea not just for higher volume but the return line is routed back to where pickup is and put right into basket where suction is. Helps make SURE you don't have low fuel pressure when tank is low.
Personally, I've never had an issue with the charge tubes.
BOV for tuned sleds is a must IMO.
PEFI of course sells all these.

So if it’s cold out , and it gets lean doesn’t the motor back off timing and slow sled up? I thought there was protection.

Like SledFreak says, that's what "they" all say. Theoretically, IF the knock protection works as advertised, one should be able to hold WFO anytime you want. You go first .....

I guess will have to ride slow when it’s cold outside.

Well if it did not work I am pretty sure we would.be hearing of multiple 998's go down especially up here in northern Ontario....
It's been between- 15 and -30 *c for the past 2 weeks... and trust me all the hurricane and td boys up this way run their tune sled hard
There is no doupt detection works!
Every year we get extremely cold weather (as low as -40*c.) And ever year we riding these cold temps with no issues...
I don't understand why all of a sudden this is a issue...lol

If I recall.....tuners found that there was NO ACTIVE knock protection from factory. I believe it was GAP who figured it out to make the factory sensor active. And other tuners followed.

Isn't everyone using GAP for ECU tuning tools?
