Serviced my skid this weekend and a little confused on the center shock linkage and how it relates to the limiter straps. When I took it out the linkage was pic. B with the straps in hole 4 and TIGHT, plus couldn't see any way to grease it. Since several friends have VL and MP sleds I thought check them out and see hat was right. Looked at another VL ,two MP's and a RS. Results were not consistent with Loose Straps, Tight Straps and some with grease fittings greasable some not. Finally went with pic. A resulting in Loose Straps and able to grease. Appreciate it if someone could check theirs and advise. Tossed in a load of pictures.

Just saw your post and ran out to my 2014 MP. My linkage is as yours is now, picture A. My straps are barely loose, nothing like as slack as yours.

The picture I took today was when I had it hanging on a basketball net with a come-along, which accounts for some of the loosenesses I am thinking. Going to see tomorrow what it is like sitting on the trailer. I appreciate your looking.Just saw your post and ran out to my 2014 MP. My linkage is as yours is now, picture A. Not having an MP anymore, all I can say is that the straps should not be loose with the suspension unloaded (off the ground). They must prevent the front shock from completely extending and hitting the top. I had one strap break and the other had stretched so much that it didn't prevent the shock from self-destructing. It was set to the 3rd (loosest) hole. I wound up putting 3 straps and at the tightest. Made for heavy steering but steered better with more ski pressure.

That's what I was thinking straps have to be tight when suspended or so long shocks. After giving it a look out it's coming and change it back the way it was. Got thinking about i had it set up this way before and it spent its time trenching in the deep stuff. Mystery is still the way the grease fittings are sitting when i have it the old way.Not having an MP anymore, all I can say is that the straps should not be loose with the suspension unloaded (off the ground).
