Rock, I admit defeat. That turbo cranks!!!!!!! I wish I would have had my bottle(s) warmer, and plenty of NOS along to give you a run, but still wouldn't of been able to pass that rocket! Actually, I wish I would have had Holtzmans system on the 03, so I wouldn't of had to warm the bottle.

Everybody - When the sleds would go past us on the radar gun, the ice would dip!!! That turbo was flyin!!!!!!!

Just curious... How come the NEW sleds were only pullin 110-112mph on the lake.??

Is it because they werent broken in yet? Or lack of some lube on the slides?

Welt - The RX1 said 129 on the speedo, but 113 on the gun. That is how much it is off.

I had my hyfax sticking a little, that is what I was doing when Tom took my picture of me and my 03 RX1, kicking snow on the track.

I'm going to do some checking, but hope to make it. That was a long drive for me, but it was well worth it. 421 mile round trip, and I made it to my X-mas party just in time to eat.

Welter, I have run on radar several times 113 for a stock RX1 is pretty much it. I did get 118 with mine on glare ice with a slight tailwind. 129 on spedo = approx 115 on the gun.

Buster - We got it made! we get to ride the same sleds on the winter trails, as we run on asphalt. Year round enjoyment.

Welt thats pretty damn fast on the gun with a sled that has reverse and a 1 1/4 track....and that a stock sled...

I figured it was a standard rx... not a reverse model!

I would have guessed more in the 115mph range. because of the weight reduction and new skid!

So $5000.00 + buys 20 MPH?

Actually more than that, but top end isn't all you get. It's how fast you get there that is the real thrill. I'll bet he was over 130 in the quarter. If he hasn't geared up to a 25 top gear, he should because it makes a difference. And ofcourse there is always more boost. The track is the issue, just hope it doesn't come apart.
