Hey guys, I just got my 08 phazer RTX and took it out for it's second ride today. less then 100km's on it and I find some concrete with the right ski. The hit didn't throw me off the sled but it was pretty solid. I couldn't find anything wrong with it and finished off the day's ride. Get home and on closer inspection I noticed the top right a-arm is bent. The spindle is more stright up and the a-arm is bent forward alittle bit, maybe a half inch forward. It still rides fine but is definitely bent. I'm a little disappointed but will talk to my dealer to see what if anything can be done about it. Does anyone know how much a new a-arm is worth or does anyone have an 08 orange one for sale?

Also nothing is binding and it looks fine but does anyone see a problem with me riding the sled the way it is? Besides this issue I am really loving this sled!!

Thanks

They are VERY weak in the front end there.

I wouldn't repair it, cause after another 500 miles of regular bumps, it will be bent again...

I have see a few of these sled out on the trails, and haven't seen one that's 100% straight yet. Mine is WAY out, half an inch at least, I've never hit anything at all, besides bumps and jumps.

I think the price is around 180 for the a-arm.

I tweaked my lower a-arm around christmas time ... took it off and pulled it back into near original shape. The quality (or should I say ... lack of) in the a-arms is definately not there! Crappy metal used I guess! Didn't take too much effort to tweak it either.

Funny how some guys never hit anything and everything is all bent to hell. I totalled a phazer last year, bent everything to hell, except the A-arms. So explain that one........ Junk Metal?

All depends on what you hit, and how you hit it. Have another phazer also, and it is as straight as an arrow, but you know what, I haven't drilled anything with that one.

I pound the crap out of the sled on bumpy trails, no bending going on. Try to be Jimmy Blaze and land crazy all the time, and guess what, I bet you will probably bend something.

i just side swiped a tree yesterday and didnt bend my a-arms. it broke the bolts that hold them in though. so i would say they are not weak. also i got 8500kms on my sled without any thing in the front end breaking and i ride fairly hard.

I bent mine hitting a culvert, I bent them back and have run it like that for over a 1000 miles. I thought the metal was very strong as I was bending it back
