RIP Eddie Van Halen

EVH passed away this morning.

Wolf Van Halen, Eddie and Valerie Bertinelli's son, said his father died after a "long and arduous battle with cancer" on Tuesday morning.

1984 was one of the first cassettes I bought as a kid. I listened to it so much, I wore it out.

Heartbroken over this, a true virtuoso. The man who smacked disco upside the head in the late 70's using just his pinky finger. Finally at rest after a long battle with cancer.

As a "Recovering guitar player" I can say that Eddie strongly influenced me while I was learning how to improve my chops. RIP Eddie.

Sad day for sure. Never quit listening to them and never will. Turned my kids on to them too. He will live on for a long time for sure.
