I've put a 3 inch articulating riser on a few sleds and I feel this is the max. I had to reroute a couple cables along with the brake line(unbolt it off of the coolant tank), but all works well. Hope this helps

Did a powermad 2" with the articulated mount, had to tweak the throttle cable a little bit, still if you turn hard all the way to the right the t.o.r.s. acts up, that being said, just ordered the 4" riser and longer cable for next year!

What is a articulating riser? and which cables did you have to reroute? will turning be a problem with a 3 inch rise?

thanks

By swapping out the throttle cable for one from the same year mountain sled (this is a quick 5 minute swap), and with a bit of rerouting, you can go at least 6". I did this with my '05 warrior.

I'd love to hear more about the rerouting you did if you don't mind. I ordered the 1.25" Powermadd pivot adapter with a 4" block. I had it thrown on at the dealer while getting some other work done, and he told me the 4" block was too big. I went with a 2" block instead with the Powermadd throttle cable extension, but he said to go to the 4" I would have to extend almost every cable that runs to the bars. I really want the extra height, right now with the 2" block I still have to bend/slouch a bit.

Thanks

I did a 4" articulating riser and raised the seat 6"
Only cable that has to be longer is the throttle cable.
I had read here to get the mountain cable and did. Unfortunately, the mountain cable is the same part number as the warrior cable, no help there... :o|
So I ended up getting a cable off a mountain cat and made it fit. (Had to file the tips on the lever end.)
You can get extended throttle cables on ebay for about $50.

The rest of the cables WILL be long enough with simple re-routing. (As himiler & Yamayooper pointed out.)

I just recently put on Apex Bars and a 6" Riser, that worked MUCH better!
The 6" riser is a great height! You can easily stand. The Apex bars are awesome also!
Get a 6" DOGBONE riser for a Harley, they are half the price of the sled ones and same part. (About $40)

To answer the original question, usually 2" is the max riser without extending anything, however the throttle is the ONLY cable needing extended on the RX1 up to 6" for sure.

FYI The 07 Apex bars heat GREAT wired in parallel on the RX-1. Apparently something is done differently in the controller on the Apex that keeps them from getting very warm.
