I have a 3/4" riser allready. I was just wondering what some of you guys had and how tall you are. Did your set-up require longer cables?
I'm thinking about adding a 2" articulating/pivot style to the standard riser for a total of 2 3/4". I don't want to buy longer cables for the sled but I do want the bars taller. I'm 5' 7" too by the way.

I want a 3/4" riser myself. I would think that would be the perfect height so my vinyl cover still covers the steeing post? Is it? Where did you find a 3/4" one? All I see is the 1". PB

PB, yes the 3/4 still covers the steering post. You can just see a gap between the tank cover and bar cover. I got the 3/4" riser from MPI.

I put a 2" riser from Hartman on mine this fall. Any taller than 2" will require longer throttle and brake cables. I rode with it this week and I love the position while standing, but when sitting you can't see any of the instrument pod.

RX1Montana, Is your riser a pivot or standard? Did you rotate the bars forward?

BLGSRX-1mtn - I have the standard riser and rotated the bars forward. You might also want to get a low profile windshield because the bars might hit the higher profile windshield.

I put in the 1" riser, broke off the rivet and moved the bars forward. This works fine for me. The cover does fit pretty tight and it is more dificult to see the gauges, but I feel is well worth it when sidehilling.

I'm 5' 7" and with the 3/4" riser and the rivet gone with the bars flipped straight verticle I still have to bend over to reach the bars while standing. This is why I am going taller so I can stand straight up. I am buying the sportech 2" abr(articulating bar riser) It is a different style that alows you to see through the middle of the riser.
