Have a 2010 LTX GT and did a few top speed runs this weekend. At 112 mph(on GPS) the RPM is at 10,600. Shouldn't the RPM max out around 10800? Ulmer stage 2 is on the way, so maybe that will pick the rpm up a bit? I have 1000 kms on it.

Anywhere from 10,300-11,000 top end will be similar with stock clutching. Your on a 4 stroke now.

1000km isn't much mileage. It will rev higher when it breaks in more. This is at 1500mi or more. It will be running close to 11000 with more mileage...

Two weeks ago on Cranberry Lake my dream-meter hit 121 mph @ 10,800 rpm. Thats the fastest I've ever had it and highest rpm its ever run at top speed. Sled had 7,000 miles on it at the time.

The highest I have seen was on Cranberry about a week ago, When we had little snow and the line on the lake was just about glare ice. It was a very very fast line. I ran 125 and a flash of 126 on the dream meter. Didn't look at my RPM though.. But that was the fastest I have gotten out of her yet... and Im 300lbs fully dressed.

I got 125 mph on Sodus Bay once with my RX-1. I was crazy (and stupid) enough to run home, get my digital camera, and attempt to snap a photo on another run. It didnt turn out. Taking the 10% discount, my true speed was probably 112 mph, which is plenty!
The RX-1 was geared a little taller than the Apex is. As a result, it had better top end and better fuel economy despite fewer horsepower. However, it was no faster than a Ski Doo 600 SDI in a 0-60 mph. Believe me, I was embarrassed enough to never forget!

P.S. Thanks for the reply to my PM. Good to know the background of C8 - I had no idea that was the history of that trail. Your directions are good - I will print them and keep a copy in my sled...along with your phone number!! Thanks!!
