I have 1200 miles on my RTX SE. The last two rides, any prolonged hard riding- 3/4 to wot the sled starts to backfire and stutter. I figured it was my TORS but when this happens ,no codes are being displayed. anybody else have this happen? IF i rdie below 3/4 throttle I have no issues.

I have the same prob., i unhooked the tors override and it still does it, if you have a fix i'm listening. Do you have an aftermarket exhaust?

its a flutter and it will start popping and backfiring, its like it not running on all 3 cylinders

I had some cutting out issues with mine for about 4 rides.. Chased electrical stuff around. I believe I found my problem. Check your air box for oil. If you see that a lot of oil is dumping in there from the overflows, I believe it got on the air temp. sensor and was causing my problems. Only occurred when hot and would disappear when cold. I rerouted my overflows to a "home-made" dump can. My problem disappeared. Also, when changing oil, I stick with 3 qts., not 3.38 or whatever. I found that if I checked my oil level on the trail after riding hard, it was high.. Even though I did a proper fill after replacing my oil.. Something to check, good luck.

Interesting that this came up, I have the same problem when I jump mine. Mine was showing low oil level (on dash) but after I let it sit it went back to normal. I still don't have a clue why the overflow goes into the airbox? can anyone explain that?

It's common to vent the crankcase of a 4-stroke into the air box (on the Nytro the path is thru the top of the reservoir). The vacuum of the intake helps prevent a build up of gases in the motor. The problem with oil getting in the air box occasionally is an unintended consequence of this venting. A ball valve that closed when the sled tipped beyond 90-degrees would have been a nice feature.

Turns out my problemwas a loose coil wire. The wire was fixed and the sled was ridden for some time without any issue. acnt wait to get back out there next weekend
