So I went to start my RX-1 today and all I hear is a click. Upon further investigation when I jump the 2 relay terminals I get a big spark, and the starter makes this wierd groaning noise like its trying to crank the engine, but it doesn't crank. I can spin the engine over by hand Forward but not backward. Yes my fuses are good and my battery is good. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank You.

Take the plugs out and see if it turns over first . Does the key engage the solenoid (relay)? Basically are you getting voltage to the starter solenoid (relay) when you turn the key? I assume you are if you hear a click. See if the relay is sending voltage and amperage to the starter. Could still be a ground issue or a starter issue. Check and clean all the grounds too if needed. Sounds like a starter issue but I would try the above steps first. When is the last time the starter worked correctly?

the last time it worked correctly was yesterday. yes I am getting power everywhere that you said.

Hard to tell , if it worked yesterday and now it won't. As long as the engine is free, then it would have to be battery, wiring, or starter. If you are getting correct voltage and amperage at the starter then that only leaves the starter.

I once had the just click noise after a long ride, but got a boost and it freed it up and never did it again, maybe a different problem though
