Changed the oil about a month ago and it ran fine. Went out to load it up on the trailer last Thursday and it wouldn't idle-needed partial choke. I did not drain carbs last season, do you think it may have sucked up some bad gas? Could the needles or floats be gummed up? I suppose the only option is to bring it in ($270.00) and clean the carbs up. Any suggestion appreciated. Thanks :(

Is it safe to run it if there is something gummed up in the carbs. It seems to idle fine with the choke at partial, but give some throttle and there is some hesitation. Give her a lot of throttle and it wants to backfire.

Changed all the plugs today. Still wont run without partial choke. Put seafoam and a little isopropyl in yesturday and trying to run some of that through-so far no luck. May have to remove them damn carbs.

Sorry to hear that it didnt worked out with the new plugs, but non the less you have some spares now ;)! Its a good thing to take the damn carbs off an check the pilot jets they may be plugged. when all the carbs is cleaned then you can be sure of no problems for the rest of the season (hopefully) ;)! .

The Seafoam won't clear it immediately, it may take an entire tank. Also, don't add isopropyl, its hard on everything fuel related and the Seafoam takes care of the water.

Just remove the airbox, loosen the carbs, flip them up and over, remove the float bowls, remove the pilots and clean them.

Take the air box cover off, look at the 4 carbs at the throats you will see a jet on both sides of the opening spray some carb cleaner like gumout in those two tiny holes with it shut off, let sit a few minutes and do it again, then start sled and do it again, if really stubborn use an air hose with rubber nozzle to short blast the jets, but just a short squirt to clear them out. This is what my dealer told me today and it worked for me. Hope it helps.
