Does anyone have saddle bags or tunnel bags on their Sidewinder?
Yamaha offers a few choices and I'm not sure what to do, as there is already a small tunnel bag at the rear of my seat on my 18 RTX LE. Dealer says it's where I'm supposed to store my spare belt.
Pictures of your setup would be much appreciated!

Thank you,

I also have the RTX and there isn't much room on the tunnel. If you want to keep the small tunnel bag on it to store your belt and small emergency items your best option is probably saddle bags. I use the Yamaha saddle bags without the seat pack and there's plenty of storage space in them, but for extra security on long trips I strap a couple bungee cords over them, but they do stay secure with the straps supplied. The option with the seat pack/saddle bag must have a ton of storage, that's another option. I'm trying to find a setup for extra fuel to mount to the tunnel and still keep the small tunnel bag.
Congratulations on your Sidewinder that's a SWEET looking sled and your going to love it !!!! Sooooooo FAST!!! And great ride. I see your from Manitouwage and that Machiene will really shine up there on those big trails ( hope they open back up those trails there soon) been wanting to ride there for years.
Sorry to get off topic but for some reason I can't post pics "says files are to large" but I'll try later.

^^ Yes that is a great thread. Don George(My dealer) posted a ton of great pics and info there last season. Since he is also a DOO dealer he has great options using the Linq system.

For me on my 129"..... I want a specific setup. I want to keep stock small tool bag, and have a LinQ bag too. I have a Sr21 LinQ bag already, but that is too big for this tunnel unless you remove the stock small bag. I also like the Mountain seat that I have on order, and that has NO rear WING. So i am able to gain some more space for when the tunnel bag lid opens, and it will stay open and not hit tail on stock seat.

This year for 18. BRP has removed all the huge SKIDOO logos from their LinQ bags, this was smart as they know their Linq system is superior and MANY would love to use it on other brands. And so now the bags all simply say LinQ on the side.

For the 129" the LinQ Short (10+3L) -- BRP # 860200622 bag fits nicely, and can be mounted with either a 'Up North Technology' large bracket system, or what I am going with is the Two smaller 'White Out Technology' brackets. These type of mounts will allow for the LinQ brackets to be attached to the narrower SW tunnel(BRP tunnels are wider)

New 2018 LinQ Logo Short Bag(10+3Liter): If you look closely you can see with this bag there is a decent cutout on rear bottom. This design is PERFECT for the 129" tunnel, where the tail light bracket can have enough room to not hit this bag. Also I have used this bag for 2 seasons and its FAR larger and nicer access inside then the SR21 bag IMO. The Sr21 while it looks sleek has this rather small opening due to the waterproof liner design, and It would not fit my pizza box in after pizza hut! LOL But my short bag works great, and is larger usable space.

Up North Tech large bracket on a 129" RTX: This really shows how tight a fit we have with the 129" rtx tunnel...but it works.

For those that dont know LinqQ....

They are installed in less then a few seconds...they dont ever fall off, and they can be removed in seconds and taken into your motel room. Really hard to beat this system.

I just outfitted my new Sidewinder with the Upnorth dual setup and was able to reinstall my tool bag further up.

Nothing touches and it fits like a glove. Love the convenience if Linq system.

Won't allow pics to attach?

Sounds good....

For pics, just resize them to lower quality, as the hi res pics takes up too much bandwidth.

I figured out how to resize them, here are a couple pics of the Yamaha saddle bags. They hold a lot of stuff... And keep the weight down low on the sled.

I use the expandable viper bag. Lots of room.

I have the LTX LE 137.
Got rid of the original bag , too small , and replaced with a larger Yamaha tunnel bag and the Whiteout 2 piece Linq attachment, with spacers , so the gas can would clear the taillight , and give enough room for the larger bag that you can actually put a belt and a lot of other stuff.
If you need more storage for an overnighter , the new larger linq gas can with storage bag on top , is the
next step.

This is truth! Great system. 3,500 miles and no issues whatsoever.

The 4 Gal linq can and linq bag on top. the Apex seat bag transferred nicely to the Winder.

Is there any locking mechanism for that LinQ bag? I could
see myself stopping to eat only to return and find the bag grew legs.
