Hey all

Well its official, I now own a 2007 Attak, and now thats its sitting in my garage, I noticed that when you lift up the back end, there is a ton of sag from where the sled sits under its own weight to where you can lift the sag out of the suspension to lifting to the sled off the ground. Its somewhere near 10+cms at the rear bumper.

Checked spring preload and its set stock at 4 postion. Havent had a chance to play with the R/A adjuster yet and am going to have to get used to this new fangled mono. Just seems to sag alot. Anyone have any ideas or does the sled normally sag this much?

Also, I plan to jump this sled. Im 180 or so pounds with gear and would naturally try it at stock setting, then if thats not enough preload and compression dampening, I will increase to max. Will I have to go any further than the stock spring, to possibly the "Big Boy" spring?

Thanks guys!

thats normal sit it. if it wasnt there it would ride like crap. you should see my polaris, it drops a couple inches with the sleds weight on it and a couple more when i get on! as far as a spring, you definatly do not need it at your weight. a good revalve would be a good idea though. there isnt enough compression dampening stock and the r/a adjusts rebound.

Thanks for your reply man!

I just really wanted to have this thing sit nice and high, out of the snow and try to keep it from tenching more. If it bottoms at all when jumping, im going to increase the preload, ill even do that c-clip thing. Its just a pain the butt to do, especially when I do not have the tools needed to take off that spring, or compress it out of place like other members have done.

Please read the sticky topic called "How to set proper ride height on Apex GT".
This topic explains the importance of having 40-45 mm of rider sag (measured at the shock absorber).
Even if the spring and the preload adjusters are not the same, this measurement is also applicable to the Attak suspension.

Just thught id bring this back up

I went to a different dealer last night, and checked out the exact same attak as mine (non GT version) and its suspension sits as high as it can go when it is just sitting there on the floor, and mine sags sooo much when just sitting beside it. Must be a 20cm drop at the rear bumper for the suspension to be maxed out (no load), to where it site just under its own weight.

Im wondering if its possible to get it setup like attak which sits high and if its just a simple adjustment or not, because this thing as it is right now, looks like it is just dying to get stuck in deep snow...

Actually, it was, but I didnt think it would make that much of a difference.

Now off the dollies, it doesnt sag as bad, but still doesnt feel as "perky" and high as the other attak im comparing against.

But thanks for the advice man!
