Secondary slop/movement

Greased the drive bearings, doing the chaincase side first. Well I finished up the speedo/secondary side and noticed the secondary clutch needs to be moved quite a bit before the track moves in either direction. Is this because of reverse?? Never had that issue on the SRX and Ive done two of them. Thanks in advance.

YES! Not trying to be a jerk, but this scenario has been addressed many times. The design of the reverse cog allows rotation of the secondary clutch before engaging, whether going forwards or reverse. Adjust your drive chain per spec and you'll have no problems

Yep, reverse is the culprit. When you have the chaincase apart, you can look to see how the lower gear goes together and it will explain the slop.

You shouldn't have to grease bearings in the chaincase, just keep nice FRESH oil in and your all set and make sure to check your chain tension regulary, unless you want to go the extreme and take it APPART its the only way.
