just curious if anyones donr wall damage enuf to have to send away for for repair and replate? if so how much was it ... i have one severly damaged wall and a bit of the head too .and 1 cyl minor damge...
we used a nice led screen borescope and found that something went very wrong and what is the source of our case pressure issue. still runs with the xtx with this damge !

Send it to Millenium; they'll fix you up. Retail for a re-nic is around $450, I'd have to see the head to give you a guesstimate.

Yeah I called millenium and they really know their stuff. They can even plate the bore if its oval'ed and get it back into a circle! He was very knowledgable about the rx/apex blocks, and I think lakercr pointed out a oil restrictor that they used to accidently dissolve when cleaning the block and now they have that issue fixed so you could trust them.
A good machine shop can repair the head if its not horrible.

heads not real bad .. its just chewed up a bit where the block and head meet ....
now we know why do0d was sooooooooooo persistant on selling this sled .
itll still haul #*$&@...... before we got the bore scope .we seafoamed it .. lol and it actually cleaned #*$&@ up and brought the steady pour of oil with the blowby out of our "external case vent" to a few choice puffs and some random drips .so it actually helped some with the other cyls i beleive. but any who ...
not guna stop beatin it. we scope it after every ride and all is still the same ... 09 xtx from a dead dig there bar to bar the whole way ... only have 5 -600 feet before your on the brakes or into the brush.......it sounds right /tight , dont rattle or carry on revs fast and hard . summer will be fun rebuild time ...... hi comp n/a monster or boost hmmmmm?

awsome info......... iwas looking for high recomendations. now once the snow melts and i cant ride it anymore i shall be posting carnage pics ... i wish i knew a way to get the lcd dispaly on the borescope to magically turn into a file on my comp so i could be surgeon like and post super sneaky skope pix for us motor nerds
