OK guys hope this doesnt come across as tacky
Thanks to Simons CPR for doing a kick a$$ job on the motor. Simons CPR the Original Superman Block(tm)
Thanks to B1Dodge (snowest) for helping me reassemble the motor from boxes of parts that have been in my garage for almost 2 years.
Huge thanks to the crew at SPS Racing for countless hours of refab in the shop for the past 2 weeks.
Thanks to the cool peeps on Ty4stroke for being such a great resource!
Thanks to my family for living without a Dad for 2 weeks.
Thanks to Boss Noss for providing incredible Nitrous system for this beast.
Thanks to Kevco (snowest) for naming her with such a cool name.
Thanks to ACmtncat(snowest) at Summit Graphics in Orem Utah for the sweet graphics!
A little history on the TReX. Its a little long, you dont have to read if you dont want to put I gotta thank the peeps that helped me get her back together.
2 years ago almost to the day the trex had a nitrous backfire which took out a rod, piston and motor. Right after going undefeated at the fairview shootout in 07 I was trying to start the sled to ride back to the truck and the battery was dead. Trying to save power for a jump start I disconnected what I thought was the hand warmers but turned out to be my nitrous switch. BOOM!
That summer I sent the block to Simons CPR where it sat for over a year on the shelf. Jeff was very cool about it and didnt lose any of my parts!
About a month ago I called Jeff and told him I was finally getting around to putting my racer back together. He busted it out and got me the motor right away so we could begin reconstruct. The motor work was perfect, thats all, it just looks bulletproof!
After a week with B1doge (top fuel mech) from Snowest reassembling the motor I took the sled over to SPS Racing for some serious refab. We installed a new turbo, refab'd the intercooler, modded the rear suspension and basically worked the sled over front to back. We made so many changes to the turbo system that it can no longer be considered an mcx but now is a custom SPS Racing turbo. SPS Racing does Polaris Dragon Turbos, Razor Turbos, any custom EFI turbo, suspension work and metal fab work. Brook Beckstrom the owner is a former world champ hillclimber for team Polaris and a well respected guy out here in the west.
The Boss Noss Nitrous system capable of 200 hp was all in working order and simply had to be cleaned up a little bit. It works so well I decided to take my water methanol off, I simply dont need it. Jims Nitrous flat out works. Jim also builds the best seats in the biz hands down and my custom hold me in Boss Seat is good as new!
Im out of time with the shootout on saturday. I dont have any more clutching to throw at it so Im gonna have to hope for the best. Shootout may be a bust with the blizzard like spring conditions we are having right now but we'll see.
Now Im just hoping she runs well and holds and all is done right

That has got to be the craziest intercooler ever produced for a snowmobile.

Funny when I saw the picture, the first thing I thought of was my old 1983 Yamaha Vmax with the radiator on top of the engine with the huge hole in the hood for it.Ted Jannetty said:That has got to be the craziest intercooler ever produced for a snowmobile.

Well I couldnt leave well enough alone and the bigger turbo turned out to be too big. Had huge lag and no time to tune it. Will be pulling the big turbo and goin back to the 19t this week. I think Ill stick with the 19 and spray more nitrous if I need it.
