I bought and installed Simmons skis on my 2006 Vector GT. The skis were used off an RX. The used carbides had horrible wear on the front of the carbides and nearly no wear on the back. I put a 3/16" inch shim in the back of the ski mounts.

I installed dual 6" cutting carbides on each ski.

Has anyone else shimmed Simmons skis on a Vector or RX? Did this fix the darting problem? My OEM skis darted horribly in certain conditions.

I just happened to be reading this thread and don’t understand how dullies make the sled push. I always thought that the pushing was from too much track engagement with the trail and not enough grip on the skies to the trail. Help, now I’m really confused. :o|
