Shock length go shorter or longer?

Looking at adding air shock to my ZX2. The ZX2 factory length is 14" The air comes in 2 lengths 13.5" or 14.5"

Which one would you use? I'm thinking shorter so the suspension can bottom out and not bend the shock rod?
