Did you see Tcat quicker than SRX, 800 AC quicker than 850s, must be the clutching, TEAM,!! Just observing.

I did see that and personally thought it was pretty cool. On the 800/850 side of things, would love to see those sleds compete after break in and see how the cat 800 holds up to the 850s.

I don't think in stock form the 850 is any faster than the 800 I have watched guys race and the 800 is right there. They were both Poo's. My riding buddy bought a new 850 Doo last year and I was not impressed with it's performance. My opinion on the whole 850cc thing is they are trying to meet emissions and can't make the Power so they are making bigger motors with the same amount of hp as the smaller ones.

The 850 doo was actually quicker than the cat and the 850 polaris was faster than the cat. The cat was .02 faster in speed on one run against the doo. After the dealers touched them they got worse times. Racing my 850 doo against my buds cat 800 its fairly close. I can seem to pull him everytime but its not much. A sled length maybe. Surely not enough for 850's to brag about.

Are the cat 998's still geared lowered than the winders?

I don't think so. If they could build a 999cc twin that would stay together, they would.

2020 TCats are still using 24/50. Same as 2017.

Does anyone have the full shootout results that can be posted?

Hank

Thanks Jafo 1970

I think the T-cat is geared lower due to the higher starting ratio of the Team clutching.

I read that the Thundercat dynoed at 203hp out of the box but Yamaha took a pass on on that step, same engine wonder why they opted out?
