That has been my experience as well. 850 Doo takes about a gallon less than me most fill ups.
My buddy says it is plenty thirsty on oil though.

Very true the oil usage is more now then their 800 Im hearing which is due to issues with longevity, I believe BRP has upped the pumps to aid in engine life. In the end ride costs are less with a 4s engine for sure. That has been my experience as well. 850 Doo takes about a gallon less than me most fill ups.

Anyone running TD Eco trail flash? Is the mileage any better then stock?
Imo, Eco Trail is little worse than stock mpg. Believe it or not, the bigger tunes get better mpg. My best mpg have been on Max 17.

I think the reason bigger tunes get better gas mileage is because the heavier clutch weight setup results in lower operating RPM's whenever one is not at WOT, like through bushes, cruising, following 850's, and etc.

Early spool tunes help alot corner to corner with MPG, not to mention with the bigger tunes, you can cruise at 1/2 to 3/4 throttle at some real decent speeds, where the 850s are WOT just to keep pace.I think the reason bigger tunes get better gas mileage is because the heavier clutch weight setup results in lower operating RPM's whenever one is not at WOT, like through bushes, cruising, following 850's, and etc.

My experience, has been similar.
A litre or 3 difference in fills .
I have never run out on my SW, and have never needed to use my linq can I carry ,for myself ever .
Others have run out when I haven't.
Then there is the burping issue that affects actual range, more than all other factors.
Treat them like a newborn ,and burp them multiple times .
As last Saturday was the imposed last ride of the season , I decided to run it till it dies to see what my range might be .
My light came on at 209 klms. , and when I pulled up to the trailer I had gone 234 klms.
When I went to start it back up to load it on the trailer , it wouldn't start, and I put in a half gallon , and she fired right up .
That's about 140 miles , of mildly aggressive trail riding with the Hurricane 240 flash.
What have others experienced ?

I have not run my Hurricane SM tuned Winder out of fuel but I have run 120 miles without seeing the low fuel light. The 850 Doos I ride with never impress at the pumps

Few weeks ago started out in New Liskeard, filled sled and burped it twice till it was filled to the rim. Somehow we missed the cutoff to Kirkland lake made it to Matheson, turned sled off to wait for a sled to fill up, sled wouldn’t restart had to push and pull it a few feet to reach the pump. Took 35.5 L, gas light came on at 192km and total trip had 221km.

For some reason I find my sidewinder very hard on fuel. I’m running the Hurricane 270sm SS tune. Driving with an 11’ apex and and 850etec and on a fill up I was consistently $10 more. At the same time I installed the tune I also put on a storm 150 track with is 1.5” lug. I’m wondering if that might be the cause. I’d be empty at 100 miles for sure.

My 2019 XTX has a 1.75" track and we regularly ride in excess of 100 miles and I have never seen my low fuel light yet. My riding group includes 850 and 1200 Doos and a Nytro and everyone always comments on how good my sled is on fuel...its not always the best but if it isn't the best it never gets beat by a significant amount.

Fuel economy is dependent on many variables, how aggressively you ride, trail conditions, clutching track tension, ect. Its very hard to compare mileage between sleds unless you are riding together on the same trails, speeds, and conditions.

Yes agreed. We did a 3 day, 600 mile trip and mine was consistently harder on fuel in all conditions over the duration of that trip. I defiantly don’t get the mileages people are listing here in any condition and that was the case when stock and with the tune. But seems even harder with the tune. I don’t mind the extra cost, it’s more the worry about being the first to run out lol.Fuel economy is dependent on many variables, how aggressively you ride, trail conditions, clutching track tension, ect. I ran my stock SW 120 miles this winter. My light had been on for awhile when we pulled up to the pumps. My sled took 9.2 gallons, so I was running on fumes.
