Don't believe so, simply re-torquing the bolts is the TSB

i just had my sw 500 mile service done and there were no updates or bulletins .Where is all this misinformation coming from ?

My dealer received the updated bracket and bolts today and is installing it. I am merely getting my information from my local Yamaha dealer that is actually doing the bulletin. Arctic cat is just doing bolts yamaha is doing more.

Talked to my dealer today and he said his rep told him to check the bolts and to be aware there have been issues with them. He said they didn't have a bulletin yet. He didn't say anything about a new bracket.

As far as I know There is no update or bulletin in the U.S. As of right now. Arctic Cat has a re-torqe bulletin but nothing so far from Yamaha. We have been checking and re-torquing all sidewinders but nothing official from Yamaha on it.

I'm sure there will be one released soon but nobody panic as there is nothing out yet.
