Simmons Flex skis-

[Let it Ride]

I've heard flex skis are a must on the warrior. Any comments from those that have them. Is it worth it :?:

I'll tell you this;

I bought a pair for mine (have yet to try it).
The stock skis are really little. They are pieces of SH**! Not nearly enough to float a sled.

i have them on my warrior and had them last year on my 136" rx1 and loved them, either those or the doo precision work good, in my case i choose the simmons cause there still kinda unique in my area, and im alittle anal when it comes to cleaning sleds and these flat skis are easy to clean

We just put a set of Ski Doo precision on the wifes warrior with an M10. She loves them. I will play between the two sleds more before I do anything. I agree the stock ski is very small and throws lots of snow in a short persons face. The flex ski minimizes the snow in the face situation and also seems to take some of the shock out of the handle bars.

The main negative is the front end seems to push more in corners at higher speeds.

We didn't try the Simmons because when you do bagger rides you periodiacally need runners. In my searching I feel that the warerods weren't readlly available in the boon docks.

Sketr, both Yamaha and Cat offer in their catalogues so they should be stocking at least minimal.

FYI, I posted the question on a Doo Forum about putting Doo's precision's on my warrior and I couldn't believe how many negative comments I got saying how bad they pushed in the corners. Being that I'm not a powder rider I'm sticking with the stock ski's with that huge keel. IMHO, that keel will bite much better than any twin carbided ski. It may not float as well, but I don't want my 136 inch studded track overpowering the ski's in a curve with tree's on the other side :shock:

Mighty I agree with you but the wife doesn't have much arm strength. They do stear easier in heavy snow.

For any moneys i will run any snowmobiles whithout those simmons, ski-doo answer his customers, all other compagnie prefer closing their eyes,
for money. go ahead switch to double carbite, you understand what we mean. :wink:

In my opinion, Simmon's Ski's are a must on any sled. I have been riding sleds for far longer then I'd like to admit, nothing fancy just a plain old mountian rider, and I have had Simmons on all types of machines. The improvent gained, from powder riding, to trail riding is immeasurable. I'd would reccomend a pair to anybody on any machine. One of the single best investments a guy can add to his sled. I posted a request for cheap Simmon's Ski's a while back and ended up finding Throttleinc to be the cheapest at $380.00 delivered with 4" cutting carbides. Best money spent hands down.

Simmons improved the handling of my shorty rx-1 on the trails. I also have sleds with C&A's and SLP SLT's which I feel are more aggressive but with the extra weight of the RX-1 and the simmon's I had no problems with it washing out. I have the stock track with 192 studs and ride aggressive. I would recommend them.
