First - thanks for the ideas on suspension setup of XTX to eliminate the push. Just purchased new Simmon's ski's to leap into perfection along with recommendation from shock and spring adjustments. I own 2 XTX's (09 and 10) and I plan to get it right on one sled and repeat....
The new ski mount brackets have 4 alternatives (front to back). Has anyone tested what works best and what would be the different handling characteristics starting with the 1st position (closest to the front of the ski and then back)?
Thanks much!

I just put my new gen 3's on my 09 xtx not even three hours ago. From the research i did online it seems that the holes from front to back go from reduced darting but heavier steering to more darting but easier steering. You can really do any hole that you want by moving the rubber piece front or back. I was told hole #3 from the front is the stock position for yamaha's. I put mine in the third hole and will adjust later if i dont like the feedback.

Simmon Skis - suspension setting XTX
Thanks for the feeback - and makes sense. I plan to go with other recommended suspension changes (lower spring, low compression adjustments on shocks) and hope to get both of my XTX's handling the way they should. Great sleds, I simply didn't care for the push in the turns.....

I swapped from gen 1's to 3's last year. they come with instructions that describe results of different mount holes. gen 1's were good, but 3's are way better, especially on hard frozen mornings
