I took My skid out of my 05 rx1, im putting a Fat boy spring in and I been reading about all the W arm problems and so on. Is there a way to fix this problem and also my bushings that are at the frount of the sled where shot. Im kinda freaking out that my W arm is going to break. What type of Hifa you guys use. Sorry im new and learning stuff about the MONO skid

i myself broke a few front pivot arms in my 05 before i revalved/ rebuilt the mono shock, not one since. I've got over 3000 miles since the last failure which is pretty damn good in my book givin the past track record, so i believe this was the culprit. At this point i would just check all the welds on the arm, if they're fine then put in the fatboy spring. I doubt you'll have to worry about it breaking, but still keep an eye on it. and as far as the bushings- they suck. I ended up machining bronze oil lite bushings and haven't worn them out in the same 3000+ miles, everythings still tight up front.

i'm assuming you're talking about the front bushings that go in the frame.? you'll have to remove the upper and lower arms, when they're out you can push out the bushings from the frame. i made these bushings fit tightly and tapped them in with a small hammer. as far as putting grease fittings in the frame, i don't think so. you can drill a small hole into the control arms and insert a grease fitting on them.

I pur greese zerks on all the bushed areas of the front and rear suspension. You have to drill through the tube, thread, and just turn the zerk in a little bit making sure it dosn't cause a bind in the axel rotation. Then I used JB Weld to epoky the zerk to the metal and seal it against greese leaks around the threads.

I did this on 2 sleds and havn't had any issues.
