Hey all,

I have about 1400 miles on my viper. I pulled her out and got her cleaned up in anticipation of the up coming season. I noticed I can lift the rear of the sled up to the max extension of the shock, and push it all the way down by hand. Once its fully compressed there isnt any more give if I get on it and jump up and down.

what the heck? I dont suppose the 5 year extended YES warranty covers this, does it?

Same thing on my sled, but I just got it a few days ago with 130 clicks. My dad's 2012 Apex which was bought brand new last year is the exact same...

Make sure it's not on roller dollies. My suspension would not rebound while on dollies. Placed it on flat surface and shock worked fine.... Crazy physics I guess....
I don't see how that could make sense. Either way, my sled is doing the same both on and off the dollies.

My center shock blew out on me at 1800 miles, Ian at monster performance said it showed terrible signs of moisture and the shock was physically unscrewing itself. Honestly with all the trouble you'd go through to try and get warranty to cover it you can send the shock out and for less than $100 total you'll get it setup right, cuz if yamaha does it it'll more than likely happen again

wow. I feel kinda dumb. Took her off the dollies and its fine!?!

So yeah, I just took my skis off dollies and now its fine...Only had the track off and it was doing that to me. I feel like such an idiot now...lol

Both ours act like there shot when on the dolls also. Put them on the floor and they are fine.

Like I said, there is something weird that goes on when the sled is on dollies. I fought this last year. Glad it helped.
Glad I wandered across this thread. I was really worried until I tried taking the dollies off the skis.

Thanks!
