Has anyone compared the two, Duponts seem more advanced but does it matter at $210.00/pair ?
Graphite slides approx $60/pair only a few dollars more than plastic .

Graphite slides last a bit longer Duponts last many times longer! I've ran both on my Apex, Graphite 200-500 miles Dupont 2,000-4,000 miles at best. Of course this all depends on snow conditions. I have run my Apex down two miles of gravel road at 40mph with no sticking melting or smell, while everyone else was burning thier slides off, trying to climb the banks and the smell of melting plastic was making them crazy!

Now someone will reply that they get 3,000 or more miles from graphite's, I used to get 5,000 miles on my 2000 Cat, but my 1998 was hard pressed to get 1,200 miles. Try the Graphites if they work good for you be happy, however long they last the Duponts will last many many times longer! I,d run graphite on my sled but changing them 6 times a season grows old real fast!

Over 4000 on my Duponts, all snow conditions. I will be putting them on the new Sidewinder next season, or this season if needed. This was on my 2016 Renegade XRS (Duraflex)

post up your scratcher setup please?
I can get a better pic. This was all I had right now. Just simple cable scratchers. Works great other than some extra build up of snow. Another plus is it runs cool on hard pack roads.

I am on my third year with same depots on my Apex. Over 4,000 miles. Would have been over 6000 if i didn't buy a new winder.

I ran 1200 miles on the stock plastic, with much low snow road riding, and they look like half gone. So if one would run 2,000 miles on plastic, graphite should give me double, so graphite it is.
Will do the ice scratchers also for cooling, had a few overheat lights also.
Thanks for the feedback guys.

I have not seen any success with graphites over regular hyfax ever.

Duponts though are the real deal, but very pricey.

Duponts are the real deal but not needed on this chassis. The sliders wear so far then stop. Not like Nytros and Apexes that's for sure.
There are a lot of variables that make this not so cut and dry. For example i have a btx w 1.75, my buddy has a ltx w 1.25. We rode 330 miles one weekend on marginal snow, his slides were in great shape... mine were gone! I'm running DuPonts now, will see how they hold up. I rode last week on some plowed roads, i could smell the DuPonts cooking. I haven't looked at them yet, hopefully the inserts are holding strong!

I have 1500 miles on stock hyfax and they have zero wear. I could probably take them off and sell them as new. I have never seen hyfax wear so little.

I agree Joe..for trail riding this chassie wears slides better then any other sled ive owned....basically they dont wear.

Go with cheapies on these models, Duponts were designed and built for japanese yammies with horrible slide wear and too small idlers.

Now if you ride down south alot, and poor conditions maybe, but normal conditions this skid sure does well.
