TY 4 Stroke Master
Well, I had the skid out of the sled the other day for pre-season prep work, and to change out the stock spring blocks for the X-Click overload blocks, checked over the usual things, wheels and bearings, springs and shocks, rails, and of course, the sliders. Couldn't help but notice that my sliders are still in excellent shape, which is odd because I've read so many times that others are having issues with their sliders wearing out prematurely. Got to thinking, and wondered what I am doing differently than everyone else ? I've ridden the sled in all kinds of conditions, hard packed, groomed soft, deep powder, even rock hard icy conditions, so what could possibly be saving my sliders after 3300 kms ? Then I remembered that one of the main features that Slydog claims with the use of their Real Cool Wheels is the cooling effect that they provide. Makes sense becasue they do have a special shape to them that are supposed to draw cool air towards the sliders. As well, I believe the front wheels are a tad bit larger than the stock wheels, so perhaps these two features are the answer to everyone's concerns. The way I look at it there are only positive effects if someone were to use these wheels. First off, they cool the sliders, second, they're lighter and somewhat larger than the stock wheels, and third, they look amazing, so they're a winner in my book ! Anyway, just wanted to inform everyone of my findings, and possibly help a few guys out in the process being this may be the answer to the common slider issue. After a full season on one set of sliders here, I can't complain one bit
