TD Max said:If someone gets a chance I have a couple questions to confirm regarding the RTX LE blue/white with the 1.7 lug Sno-x track.
Front shocks I have confirmed as Float RC2's.
Skid shocks spec as Fox zero pro and HPG (FOX ® Zero Pro® C53 R13 aluminum HPG). I'm pretty sure that this machine had both positions in the rear skid with reservoir shocks. If someone could confirm and maybe even post a pic would be great.
Track clips: Is the 1.7 lug sno-x trlack fully clipped?
Ok correction the LE does have all 4 resivoir shocks...sorry
Thanks for confirming. I didn't think I was nuts, but some days I wonder...
I almost have to assume that the Sno-x track is fully clipped. It appears to be about a $250 premium over a Ripsaw II and the ripsaw II appears o be about a $200 premium over the old Ripsaw. Apparently Doo is still using the old one. Probably cost?

Would you even run studs on that track? I think I'm gonna run the track and see what it feels like on the sled, with fresh snow on the ground I think the track will be awesome it's when your the first on the trail, it's 10 below and they just groomed the night before that has me concerned. Duponts, more wheels and scratchers will probably be the ticket.
That track would scare the hell out of me on groomed hard pack or icy trails...

Well I have a 1.6 lug ice ripper track on my LTX SE and it's great on the trail. It's a different track than the 1.7 but still pretty much the same.

Since this is kind of a broad thread, I'll add this. I was comparing sleds and how they felt and how comfortable each sled was. Well people say how good the r motion and everyone that rides them brag about how good they are. Well after sitting on them I laughed cause the seat had like 6 inches of soft foam, like a Sealy bed. No wonder why people say it's a good ride. You could put this seat on a viper SE and it would feel soft as hell. Nothing to do with the skid!! Just the seat. The Polaris was nice and soft, but not bed soft. So how good is the r motion without that seat??

Lol...the Yamaha's had that sticker on them, saying subject to change or something like that...but the doo and poo didn't say that. Makes you wonder??
