So last year my top bolt came loose on my spindles -this then egged out the top hole— so now the small gap has been completely welded shut —along with welding the egged out hole shut and re-machining it flat and a new hole drilled.

Yes, I've done this same mod to a couple in years past. Bushing in the middle with longer bolt.View attachment 149254 This works also.

The picture I posted is not a fix for an egged out hole. It is the mountaintec front end design and will prevent that hole from egging out.

Yes, we caught it before the hole had too much damage. The picture I posted is not a fix for an egged out hole. It is the mountaintec front end design and will prevent that hole from egging out.

I dont know if all Nytros have this or not but mine has a thick steel washer between the ball joint and the spindle. Looks like yours didn't have this which probably added to the issue. (sorry for the crappy pic, its all I have right now)

This is interesting... What does the longer bolt and shim do for geometry, appears to relax it a bit, a little higher too...View attachment 149254 This works also.

Keeps your skis tracking straighter thru out the travel of the front suspension. Makes it handle better.

You are correct, this is my rebuild with all new Yamaha parts, a thick metric washer is supposed to sit on top of the spindle, not sure how it would egg out with that on as shown in the pic. Mine felt hydraulic solid after rebuild and still do. I hit them with Wurst synthetic waterproof adhesive grease every year, amazing lubricant. Those are my fresh black powder coated spindles that lasted all of three hours! Look sweet w the black A arms!I dont know if all Nytros have this or not but mine has a thick steel washer between the ball joint and the spindle. If those have been powder coated they will fail again. the powder coating process weakens aluminum, especially cast pieces like the stock nytro spindle
