I first of all want to thank Ben at Turbo dynamics. My friend Tom has had his 2017 sidewinder ltx le with a tune by TD run consistent 135+ to 141mph in 1320. So I decided to tune my new srx with TD.
I have the max spool 17 in the sled and run 94 octane only(no octane booster) and currently and I ran 128mph on ice in 1320 but the clutching was off. Rpm's were around 8450, so I pulled all the weights out of the dtya1's on sunday and ran them empty(they measured 75g on the scale). Now the sled runs 8800 right off the bat and climbs to 9150rpm's in 1320 and holds there. The max spool 17 showed me 18.2lbs of boost.
Now let's get back to today runs. It's really warm here today 7c and I wanted to see what the sled would do in 1320 and 1500ft. I ran it back to back for 10mins straight on hardpack. The sled no issues with the belt and I made sure to run in the powder after every run to keep it cool.
I saw 138-139mph's on the speedo in 1320 and 142 mph's top speed in 1500ft. The speedo is out about 4-5mph, but the gps is right on! I had the 1320's speed on the gps but I didn't screen shot it properly at 134mph.
I did get it right with the 1500ft pull at 137.2mph.
It's working well IMHO anyways with all the hard work Ben and the guys put into testing. The best part of all is, this is my trail tune. Wait til we crank it up!
Yeah not going to happen with those gears .
Someone may not want to reveal what gears they are really running. He sent me a pm on the results...
I doubt they aren't accurate in terms of speed what would he the point?
But yes with 22 41 in ideal conditions top speed us 130 to 132gps. With machined clutches maybe 134 135 and that would be exceptional.
Somehow has to be different gears in the sled
The 1320 distance at that speed is extremely fast as well on max 17.

Revising my calculations if he hits 9500 rpm he could reach about 137 top speed. In perfect conditions

Ya know I REALLY got to laugh when i read some of these Negative Comments,First Off I can tell you that what Kuvasz is stating are true facts I know what hes running i was there and have supplied the product. This is to be an informative Winder site,Sure there are some guys BSing about speed or hey maybe even stretch the truth about distance BUT i can tell you this is not the case with Kuvasz Sled. This thing has hauled the mail since day one out of the crate. Now i can also tell you that Kuvasz is EXTREMELY Well at fine tuning and spends HOURS playing with clutching, his Apex LTX back in the day had people also saying theres no way it will do that speed GUESS AGAIN And the best part of this is hes on here sharing Everything will you all.SO before people start Spouting off Do some research!!! is it possible? Yes it is, and is being shown for us all to try.Now Get Off Your Comps And Start Putting Down Some #s THINK SNOW!!!!!!!!!

Sorry guys I didn't mean to mislead you on rpm's. I had to recall the top rpm's for ya. When I'm going that fast I don't look at the gauges, I'm trying to stay on the machine!Revising my calculations if he hits 9500 rpm he could reach about 137 top speed. In perfect conditions
If you go to a gearing calculator top speed could have been 140mph!

CRICKETS............... LOL
So is that top rpm at the end of the run or a over rev at the beginning?? lol

I come into the throttle gradulately so I don't get the sled spinning. The previse max rpm was 9528rpm before yesterday. So is that top rpm at the end of the run or a over rev at the beginning?? lol
That will be top end.

I don't make the tunes, I run them! I try to get the sled go as fast as possible.I thought that tune had the rev limit set to 9500?

No crickets. Things were not adding up.
Guess we will have to knock the weight out of a clutch arms and try this 9700 rpm om MS 17 then if it works for one it should work for others. 140 mph in 1500 with MS17 has never been done before to my knowledge with a trail sled. Well done.
Obviously this tune makes power at higher RPMs than people were aware of.
You should put it in NBSSR this year and represent TD . Good job.

I figure he must have great conditions and running 9000 to 9100rpm then hits end of gears and climbs rpm to 9600 on rev limiter. That's the only way to hit that speed with those gears
Normally it's hard to go that deep in overdrive and run out of rpm but it's not impossible with the right conditions ( ice with lubrication and maybe tailwind)
