I bought a used slip-on hindle for my nytro xtx. It seems to be hitting the mounting bar for the 2 bold that you access through the grommets in the heat shield. Do I need to remove this bracket?

Bolts you mean? I put one on my sled, but it was a totally custom job. I shortened the back end of the exhaust pipe a couple inches, welded a donut type ring over it to but up against, and installed a couple ring hoops, for springs to pull it into place against the donut. As well as made a bracket for the back end.

I ended up drilling the rivets out and removing the brace. Was pretty easy. It looks like it will melt the plastic fascia on the end. There also is no retainer spring or clamp to hold it on the stock pipe.

I must be doing something wrong or there are pieces missing....does anyone happen to have a picture of their pipe installed?

the adapter to the header does not come with a spring tab, just a slip fit. It won't go anywhere as the muffler is held tightly in place. The only spring tabs required are for the muffler to the adapter.

Thanks very much Shadow44. I am very glad to hear that. The pipe sounds great - I just seem to be having trouble getting in centered so it won't melt the end plastic fascia. I'll take it apart again tonight and give it another shot.

Mine is sitting down and to the left slightly. Sounds similar to your setup. I orders a turnout just to be safe - the tip is cut straight so the exhaust does seem to be directed to the left site as a result.
