Hello,

Im new to this site and am enjoying the information. Great Job!

My question is, what is the stock height on a set of XTX handlebars?

The reason I ask is because I want to change the handlebar and risor set up on a 2010 XTX. Due this month so I would like to order my parts now.

Can I add 2-3 inches of rise with out adding extention cables?

I plan to add a RSI "T" adaptor, RSI 3-5" risor (depending on what I can get away with) and RSI back country handlebars

The "T" adaptor and backcountry bars are 4" of rise so i'm not sure what size risor I need. Hense my questions.

Also I am 6 feet tall. Is the stock set up a good height for stand up riding, at my height? As that may determine if I keep the stock height or raise it an inch or three.

Thanks for any and all answers to my questions.

I am not sure on the stock height but I did add a 2" rise to my bars last year and it made a huge difference. I don't know if you could go 3" without cable extensions?? I didn't need extensions with just the 2", although if you adjust your bars forward you may get away with the extra height. Hope this helps.

I went with a 2" ROX riser, liked how it let me pivot at the same time. No cable problems.

I thought I remember people saying they could go 3" if you cut into some plastic pieces by the radiator. Search this forum, this is where I probably saw it.

yeh i am 6'4" and i liked the stock height of the bars. When I stood up the bars were right where I liked them. I dont like going to high and being uncomfortable when sitting. When standing I can stand at full straight back and grab the bars perfect. I do have the bars as far straight as they can go. I think you could go a good 2" and still feel good in both standing and sitting. I am tall but I have long arms also so that can affect the height as well. Stock bars suck in all other ways. They are cheap and not strong. i am going to get skinz 2" rise bars for this winter and see how they are. Remember the lenght of the arms makes a big deal in doing the math.

Thanks for the replies however, I can't decide on risor height untill I find out the stock bar height. Does anyone have a measurement of the stock bar height?

I am stuck here in the Middle East working. My sled will be at my dealers just befor I get home (October). All I want is to order my risor and bars and have them installed before I get home.

Can someone PLEASE!!! give me the stock height of the XTX bars?

Thanks

I can give you a little more info...

I am 6 ft, arms a a little longer than average. The boots I ride in are your typical Sorrels or hunting boots.

Stock, I was bent over a little.

I added 2" ROX risers which pivot. I moved the bars slightly forward.

Now when I stand my arms are just slightly bent.

Perfect for me now.

Sled is in storage, can't get you any measurements.

Is it still comfortable to ride sitting down? Thanks for the info.

Yes, very comfortable while sitting. Originally I wanted to get 3.5", I am very glad I only got the 2".

First time I rode I thought I was driving a chopper. Now very happy with it.
