I have my chaincase apart and upon reassembly I set the chain tensioner while the chaincase cover was off. I definitely need a replacement. It is coming uncomfortably close to the reverse gear assembly with slack removed. Approximately 11k miles on stock chain. I guess that "little bit" I adjust the tensioner each year adds up. LOL. Anyway, just something to be aware of as your miles add up.

Finger tight then back it off I think 1/2 turn or so.

I just changed my track, with 25000 km on my sled. Mine looked the same as the photo. It's got another 25 000 km life left in the chain. For the chain to touch the other gear, it would have to stretch another inch or so.
