Stub shaft bearing question!

Changing bearing on stub shaft, when i install new bearing does it go all the way down to the bottom or is there a bit of gap?
Forgot to take a picture before i removed old one!

Tight no gap!!
Don't forget to use retaining compound

Once you have it back together check your clutch offset to make sure you are still within spec

This bearing got pushed in slightly. I put a green mark at the small gap. I was able to slide a .050"(1.27mm) feeler gauge between the outer race of bearing and the seat
