thinking of studding 11/4 rip saw using minimal studding and am wondering if someone has some pics and install procedure for installing hifax to protect tunnel /exchanger that I read about when searching this topic. It is 2010 apex ltx
This is what I needed to do on my 07 Attak. The 2nd last pic shows the extra protection that I added to protect the exchanger.

Lot's of posts here with problems of studding and ripping the cooler up. I've been reading them for 5 years. I did my Attak and just did my wifes 2010 RS Vector LTX.
Use Woodys God Diggers. They are the best. My parts guy of 20 years confirmed this. He has sold all types. Also use Woodys recommened pattern and size. 1.325 for us.
Then drop upper bogey wheels so you can get in there to add 1 1/2 in of protection over the cooler (if you ride hard or are huge) or at least a piece of old Hyfax. And if you ride hard I bet you'd hit the cooler some. Taper it down to nothing just behind bogeys. I have 1 1/2 in. of protection and never a problem in 6k miles or more (I'm a big guy) but I have the old style cooler added after market..07 Attak didn't have a cooler out of the factory but the wifes LTX had a different one come with a different style. But I've seen posts with the LTX's coolers getting trashed with less then 1 1/2in protection as well.
Search if you want because there are many postings on this.
