Studs caught snow flap, what did I break?

Backing out of the shed, getting ready for the first ride in 2 years, I gave it a good blip on the throttle to drag it off the wood floor and as I backed into the snow the flap got pulled under by the studs. This stopped the machine very abruptly, fully compressed the suspension, and bend down the rear bumper tubes holding the flap. I straightened the tubular frame back up but am now unable to move the machine either forward or back, seems like the track is locked up.

I didn't get much chance to look into it yet but am wondering if anyone has had this happen or knows where to look for an issue.
Is it possible I broke something in that chaincase? If so what is most likely to break? Or is it more likely something is just jammed? I imagine getting into that chaincase is a pretty big job.

The sled, a 2008, is at another location 4 hours away so I would like to be prepared for whatever I need to do to fix this so any advice is greatly appreciated.

TIA,
Steve.

When you say 'seems like the track is locked up' what is that based on. Or was it not going into gear?

I'd be lifting up the rear and seeing if the track is free. See if you can turn the secondary. Likely the belt is not at rest at the top.

I seem to be able to get it into gear but then if I try to go either direction it just smokes the belt on the clutch. I was not able to move the secondary by hand or move the track by hand, nor did it move when I dragged it back into the shed with a winch. I did not really investigate the problem to deeply yet and was thinking something failed in the reverse gear chain area. Is it possible to be something simpler like the cogs on the drive wheels popped out of the holes so now the track is just too tight? I should have looked at that but seems like a "hopeful" long shot.
