THE 09 CATALOG SAYS THERE IS A MORE TRAIL FRIENDLY REAR SUSPENSION ON THE BASE NYTRO. DOES ANY ONE KNOW IF THIS DIFFERANCE WILL MAKE THE SLED RIDE BETTER IN THE SMALL BUMPS, I WEIGH 230LBS. WORRIED THAT IT WON'T HOLD UP TO MY WEIGHT.. IF ANY ONE CAN KNOWS PLEASE ADVISE..... THANKS - JOE

I do not have a nytro so I may not be the best one to listen to. But I would say if ride trails aggressively, get the regular nytro. If you really like to pound the trails full speed and go looking for big jumps, get the RTX.

I disagree. Pony2008 should consider a Nytro RTX instead of the Nytro Standard. Why???? Because you can soften up a RTX to ride like a standard, but you cannot stiffen up a standard to ride aggressive through the bumps. Besides, due to his weight he should look for a stiffer suspension that can hold up. But hey.....it's just my opinion

My bet is, before it's all done and set up to his liking, he'll end up changing either version. It's not that different making a stiff ride smoother or a mushy ride stiffer.
If he likes messing around trying to get the most out of his suspension, go with the most adjustable. If the gas and go type, get the standard...

If you are looking for good compliance in the stutters go for the XTX or Apex mono-shock. The skid design in the 121" is not conducive to smoothing out stutters no matter what you adjust.

i agree with snowman 07. with the rtx u can soften it up quite a bit just as much as the regular nytro but also crank it way up. i have mine set up really stiff. i weigh 150 lbs. and my friend rode it and hes pushing 3 hundo and he said it was stiff. so there's no shortage in stiffness in that thing.
