I went from completely stock to the 13 mm bar, long links and SR 2.3's on my '03. Go as hard as you can buy. The RX1 is so heavy I think you could put school bus springs on the front and still have a decent ride. They handle pretty good too, once they are stiffened up. Still not as flat as a Viper, but certainly better.

Perfect. That's exactly what I was hoping for...Someone who had the same sled and did it all at once like I plan on.
Placing an order as soon as I get back home.
Thanks again...Now where's the snow?

I bought warrior springs and long links from SPEED. I am going to buy the 13mm bar. I belive for my size and style riding this will be good enough.
We make a sway bar kits, that are twice as stiff as the 13mm. If the is not enough we will custom make a sway bar for you.

There is no trick. It's about the easiest thing you can do on the sled with the exception of riding it.

question...
Ok, I am assuming that you are upgrading the sway bar to stop ski lift? I have only ridden my Rx-1 around the yard but I have noticed that ANY turn lifts the inside ski pretty bad. Enough that in the process of 180 degree turn my inside ski maybe touches 3 times and never more than a sled length, typically when I let off the throttle. How much are we talking for a 13mm bar and all accessories. Do these come as kits, or do I need to buy multiple parts?

Re: question...
If you have an 03, you need the links ~$70, the sway bar ~$90, Bushings, ~$4. And you will probably want to upgrade the front springs ~$90. So about $250, and it will greatly help the front of the sled.

I just did the 12mm from Pioneer Performance and 2.3 springs. No links or bushings needed. Great improvement over stock.
At the end of last year I put on Woody's Dooly's and hated them, front end was pushing in the corners.
Same thing at the start of this year until last weekend when I did the front end upgrade. Now they handle quite well. I suspect the Shaper bars I have that I'll put on when we get more snow will track even better.
