Guy on Facebook made a prototype of something we had years ago. I can't completely wrap my arms around the fact that this wouldn't be marketable, especially for Canadians and US states that the DNR Flags you for being too loud.

I use a boost valve as well. at 6lbs it opens and its a 3" dump, going through towns and stuff its quiet. I have modified it further with a boost solenoid and a motec output and keep it closed when I'm cruising on and off the throttle and I don't want to roar lol.
Works great.

Yeah, i read you were working on something like that. I really like the boost referenced activation. The motec mod sounds pretty slick!!I use a boost valve as well. at 6lbs it opens and its a 3" dump, going through towns and stuff its quiet. On my apex, but could be done on any 4 stroke. Sans the boost controller with a Motec LOL Boost valves will open at 6psi with a spring and you can use that with no electronics. Before the flame blew up 3 times I was going to use the lightweight EVO exhaust and put a cut out inline and drill like a 1" hole in it, to keep it quiet until 6 psi then open up and let it sing. The EVO was just a little to loud coming into towns. On BOB I have so much boost the cutout was always open and a 3" dump was annoying, now I can close it based on speed, load, TPS, etc and really keep it quiet at trail cruising 50-70mph where it would just BOOM before. I actually am working on a algorithm that will open and close at a interval to keep the heat moving out of the pipe and not create a glowing hot exhaust right next to my ballz...On your sidewinder???
