Hey, did you ever figure out the history of your Yamaha from this thread? A former SX 700 rebuilt as a Viper perhaps?

I checked with the third last owner of the sled and he said he had tried to find more info on model when he had owned it but couldn't because the orginal owner had moved away .He said the sled had a single pipe on it before he sold it to his cousin who replaced pipe with a triple and that was all he knew about it.Right now the sled is in storage in a shed and the best part is I never even drove it !!! Maybe someday???
