Tall/Medium windshield brackets?

Do you need to buy the mounting brackets to install a medium or tall windshield or does it make it sturdier?

The brackets are pretty expensive

if yours came with a windshield it all ready has the brackets im not sure but i think only the rtx's came with a windshield. but their are 2 diff types of brackets, one for the windSHIELDS and one for the windSCREEN.

My MTX came with a windshield I guess. Whats the difference between a windshield and windscreen?

Here's what I got. I want to put on a taller medium windshield.

They look like the same brackets I have, and I use a medium around town and a tall in Canada, no problem.

the windscreens are the ones with the designs on them and stuff. i bought one and returned it because mine has the same one as the MTX above has and i have a windshield bag and with the mounts for the windscreen i cant have the windshield bag.
